You can absolutely kill someone or animals with this set. To me a quick release is a clip that releases the strap. Only a mild inconvenience, but less functional than other brands. I used this sling for the entire elk archery season and it works great. Has a D Loop that you can attach a rope to and pull your bow up into a tree. Very cheap, and the material shows. Soft and doesn't wear into your shoulder.
