"I cut mine to about 1."It shoots just fine and has no frays thus far. Or look for a set of Lawn Darts to throw at the dirt bank. FYI keep it in the fridge as heat turns it into a glob. Bought a few to restring some older bows I have,I'l be buying more,very good value. This is a little thicker than what was on the bow from the factory. Simple to install and out to the range. I have purchased several of these strings over the past few months.

"Basic whipping tool."I like to set my brace height on the longer side of a recommended setting. I've used this with my tenpoint crossbows for years. I use it to wax the string on my crossbow. I've seen some complaints about they're too hard to pull through. No wasteful packaging materials or oversized box. They are an easy and inexpensive attempt to silence the vibration noise. Or look for a set of Lawn Darts to throw at the dirt bank.
