I bought this for my nephew who said he needed to replace his original one. I didn't want a hard plastic one because they always get broken in my bag. This item has worked as I expected it to work. So, they are impractical for checking many double-action triggers. The relative change and the final feel under my finger are much more important. It's a spring inside a metal tube, for pete's sake, not a medical instrument. If you buy one, you know what it is used for!
