1. Danner Pronghorn 8in GTX Uninsulated-M Lightweight Hunting Boot

Editor's Impressions

"Most seams are triple stitched."

Will updated when the upcoming season is over Traction is awesome did not slip traversing down hill or up. The only part of me that was dry and warm were my feet. Good for hunting, going to the range, and every day wear. The most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned.

Editor's Impressions

"So far happy with my purchase"

Comfortable soft lug soles and uppers provide good support. 5 and the length was perfect and what I would expect. My husband said these are awesome, warm and comfortable. Your feet will have plenty of room but order your size. These boots seem to be much warmer than the Irish Setter.

"Perhaps they will loosen up."

These boots are great, comfortable, warm without being hot. They are extremely lightweight and very comfortable. I read the other reviews and these do run small. They are comfortable all day of a 15 hour day. Fit: This is my first pair of Danner boots.

5. Muck Boot Arctic Pro-M Lightweight Hunting Boot

Editor's Impressions

"The reviewers were correct."

Most of the reviews said that these boots run a little big. I was sold at my fifth step out the door though. 5 EE in shoes, and with boots, I can typically fit into a10. I'll update my review after I have more experience. The Muck Boot boots were very snug to my legs.

6. Danner Pronghorn Realtree Xtra 1200G-M Lightweight Hunting Boot

Editor's Impressions

"Most seams are triple stitched."

There’s nothing to dislike about this boot. I live in the tropics and hunt doves in the summer. They were listed as returned and used a couple of times. I think they will keep your feet very warm in cold weather. Mink oil / leather honey restores them right up.

Editor's Impressions

"Very durable and comfortable."

There’s nothing to dislike about this boot. I jumped into them and plowed the driveway on the quad. I would have no problem in making a recommendation to a friend. I hunt all 45 days of Alabama's season so they are well tested. I have been wearing them daily and Muck Boot quality is unmatched

It wasn’t a show stopper but I could tell a difference. 5 and the length was perfect and what I would expect. Hey, these boots even smell great right out of the box! I think they will keep your feet very warm in cold weather. I just kept that boot loose for a few days.

9. Columbia Lakeview II Lightweight Hunting Boot

Editor's Impressions

"They are very light and durable."

Husband ordered these after last hunting season. Had them for about 10 months and have hiked a few times. Phenomenal boot, phenomenal experience purchasing! I got them a size bigger for heavy socks when it gets cold. 5d version was too small in lengths and width, but the 10.

10. Danner High Ground 8in-M Lightweight Hunting Boot

Editor's Impressions

"They are comfortable and light."

There’s nothing to dislike about this boot. My feet were comfortable, dry and happy the whole time. If you're more than a 2E I would upsize by 1 full size in 2E. I purchased a 12D and they seem to fit as other 12 Ds have. These are basically Danner and they are awesome.
